Introduction to Architectural Basic Drawing

Sketching a habit is very important, especially at the beginning of learning architectural design. Because sketching is the easiest and fastest method for designers to express themselves.

Drawing by hand, being able to do it teaches people to think with their hands and to transfer their thoughts to paper. All the architects and interior designers you love and enjoy in their work can create very high-quality sketches and they even developed their architectural basic drawing techniques.

1.Start by taking the pencil and paper and making random drawings.
2.Detect the size of what you draw.
3.Draw something else that is a different size next to it.
4.Compare the two objects with each other.
Then try to draw two objects at different distances from each other.
5.From your point of view, try to draw the room you are in as you see it, including its walls.
6.Take your notebook and pencil with you, go somewhere outside, sit down and try to draw a building as you see it from the outside.

Architectural drawings should start with freehand drawings. After developing the ability to draw correct sketches without using a ruler and convey what we think in harmony directly on the paper, architectural drawings can be made using rulers, compasses, and other aids, paying attention to the paper thickness and using correct pencils.
One of the essential features that architectural education should add to the person should be hand-drawn. If an architect/designer cannot express himself with a pen and a piece of paper, they also have problems learning the digital communication channels. The sketches you make for your project’s presentation are of great importance, and it should be one of your most essential tools to explain the ideas you reach in your project and where your project comes from. With these drawing lessons, you will learn to transfer your thoughts onto paper in the most accurate and qualified way.
