How to unhide elements in Revit?
There is a common problem that new users of Revit experience when trying to view everything in a project view. Let’s look at how Revit’s Reveal Hidden Elements tool works and how to uncover hidden elements.
Click Reveal Hidden Elements in the View Control Bar
To indicate that you are in Reveal Hidden Elements mode, both the icon and drawing area are outlined in a colored border. Hidden elements display in color, and visible elements in half-tone.
Unhide elements by following these steps:
1. Select the element
2. Take one of these steps
– Click Modify | tabReveal Hidden Elements panel (Unhide Element) or (Unhide Category)
– Right-click the Element, and click Unhide in ViewElements or Category
The Unhide Element and Unhide Category options become active when you select an element that was previously hidden by an element or category
3. On the View Control Bar, click to exit Reveal Hidden Elements mode.
You can now view every hidden element in your project. It is important to remember that this procedure only reveals elements hidden by visibility and graphics filters. It may be impossible to see certain elements in a view because of other factors.
